KATY Perry is set to share the stage with Britney Spears.
The Toxic singer announced Tuesday that she’s on her way to Chicago for a concert showdown with the Teenage Dream hitmaker.
Spears said she’ll sing at the United Center on July 8 — the very night Katy Perry headlines an Allstate Arena concert. It’s not known when Spears tickets will go on sale.
Meanwhile, Perry has revealed she’s obsessed with cats.
The California Gurls singer and her husband Russell Brand own three moggies, Kitty Purry, Morrissey — who gets his moniker from the former Smiths frontman of the same name — and Krusty, which is a combination of the pop star’s name and the comedian’s nickname Rusty, and admits she loves her feline friends as much as anything else in her life.
Katy sees a lot of similarities between herself and the demanding pets and she believes this is the reason she has such affection for the animals.
“I am obsessed with cats. I’m kind of trying to make that cat-lady personality cool,” Katy said.
“I want it to be chic! Cats are like, ‘You have to earn my affection.’ And I really associate myself with that.
“People have to earn my affection, but when I give it, it’s going to be good. I’m very independent like a cat too, and I do things in my own time. My cats have a feminine way, it’s sexy.”
