Rihanna owes Britney Spears a big thank you.
After stalling at No. 2 for weeks, RiRi’s “S&M” finally claims the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, thanks to blazing sales of its Britney-featured remix.
The remixed version of the track sold an impressive 293,000 copies last week, and ends Katy Perry and Kanye West‘s three-week reign with “E.T.”
“S&M” topping the Hot 100 is monumental for the pop goddess. It gives her a record-smashing 10 No. 1 singles on the chart, joining previous chart-toppers “S.O.S,” “Umbrella,” “Take A Bow,” “Disturbia,” “Live Your Life” (with T.I.), “Rude Boy,” “Love The Way You Lie” (with Eminem), “What’s My Name” featuring Drake, and “Only Girl (In The World).”
It’s also the third No. 1 single from RiRi’s current album, LOUD.
